Macroscopical and microscopical identification of the chinese drug, yu zhu (Rhizoma polygonati odorati) and its adulterants

In this paper, the macroscopical and microscopical characters of crude drugs derived from Polygonatum odoratum (Mill) Drum; P. odoratuin (Mill) Druce var pluriflorum (Miq) Ohwi, P. inflatum Kom, P. humile Fisch ex Maxim., P. prang Baker, P. 2nvolucratum (Franch et Sav) Maxim., P. desoulayz Kom and 3 adulterants [Disporopsis aspera (Hua) Engl ex Krause, D. pernyi (Hua) Diels, Smilacina japonica A. Gray] are described with illustrations.
