Establishment of TR-PCR assay for detection of infectious bursal disease virus in chicken carcasses.

A reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) assay was developed by using primers specific to infectious bursal disease virus(IBDV).6 suspect cases of infectious bursal disease(IBD),which clinical manifestation,pathological changes and AGP were positive of chicken lungs and cavum nasi mucosal fluid were amplified using RT-PCR.The results showed that the 6 samples were all positive and the positive conformable probability of chicken lungs and cavum nasi mucosal fluid were 100% and 80%,respectively.7 samples were positive in the 90 chicken naked body collected from the market,and the detection rate is 7.78%.The developed of RT-PCR provide a new method to the accurate detect of IBDV in chicken naked body.
