Development and Test of Intelligent Multistage Pneumatic Cylinder

As pneumatic cylinder has many advantages such as economic,light weighted,etc.,it has been widely used in mining pneumatic equipments. While the development of the automation requirement of the equipment,sensors and control devices are needed in the cylinder. A multistage,double acting cylinder made of fiber glass,and a displacement sensing system were installed within the cylinder. The characteristics of the cylinder were tested.
