Introduction: Those fracture-luxaciones of the carpo they suppose a challenge for the surgeon modern orthopeda. Their correct diagnosis and treatment redounds in a substantial improvement of the quality of the patient’s life. Likewise it shortens the period of low and labor incorporation. Objective: It is sought study presently to analyze different types of lesions of the carpo and their therapeutic possibilities. Likewise the functional result is analyzed. Material and methods: Seven patients were, with fractureluxacion of the carpo, among the year 2000 and 2001. The orthopedic treatment was used in five cases and the rest, surgical with kirschner needles. The series consists of five men and two women and the age oscillated between 15 and 60 years (M = 42.4 years). The most frequent causal mechanism was the accidental fall, with the wrist in forced dorsiflexion. The half period of pursuit was of twenty-four months. Results: The results functional ends were satisfactory in all the cases, not being complications. The dorisiflexion oscillated between 35 and 55o. Significant difference was not observed in the mobility with the healthy wrist to the year of pursuit. Discussion: You concludes that the success in the treatment depends on a good reduction and stabilization.
