Hydroxymiques acids ethers and thioether-substituted 7-oxabicycloheptane having the structural formula wherein Y is O or S (O) q, and all stereoisomers thereof, which compounds are inhibitors of prostaglandin biosynthesis and and as such are useful, for example, as antiallergy agents and antiinflammatory agents and also as antipsoriatics, and also as agents antipsoriatics, and method of preparing these compounds.
