Neuropsychological Screening on Acalypha indica Whole Plant Extract

Objectives: Herbal treatment is a natural form of healing or alternative therapy to cure ailments or diseases of cognitive disorders. Methods: The methanolic whole plant extract of Acalypha indica was screened for its Antiepileptic and anxiolytic activity in rodent models. Molecular docking studies were employed to study interactions with GABA agonist’s active site. Results: MEAI showed a significant reduction in various phases of convulsions at 30 and 60 minutes and afforded significant protection against MES model.
