SAKİN ŞEHİR, İNANÇ VE KIRSAL TURİZM ÜÇGENİ: YALVAÇ İLÇESİ’NİN TURİZM POTANSİYELİNE YÖNELİK SWOT ANALİZİ

In this study, it was determined tourism potential of Yalvac district of Isparta province by conducted SWOT analysis. According to this context, the importance of the study is to contribute to the tourism of the county and to prepare a scientific ground for the future studies on the district tourism. In addition to these, it aims to eliminate threats with weaknesses. The strong points of the Yalvac districts are first of all it is one of the 17 slowcity in Turkey, and secondly it is the pilgrimage place for Christian religion, but lack of infrastructure and rural tourism are the weaknesses of Yalvac. Nowadays, interests in alternative tourism types in world and our country are increasing significantly which show us we should support rural tourism for Yalvac. The environmental problems arising from the unconscious use of natural areas are mentioned as threats. As a result this study, the tourism potential of Yalvac district was determined and strategies for Yalvac tourism were suggested.
