Prevention of Accidental Exposures to Radiodiagnostics and Radiotherapy Patients
2004
New developments in the field of radiological equipment and prevention of accidental exposures to patients are being presented. The rapidly developing technologies provide valuable medical benefits to suffering patients. The consequent incorrect use of these machines increases the mistakes and incorrect doses. Clinical examinations should be performed with the lowest achievable radiation dose to the patient, consistent with diagnostic quality. A quality assurance program, implemented by dedicated people, could be a key to improved radiographic diagnoses and the prevention of accidental exposures in radiation therapy.
