Research on Application and Biological Characteristics of Verticillium lecanii Strains in Changchun

Biological characteristics of Verticillium lecanii strains in Changchun were studied by means of indoor cultivation and biometric.The results showed that the temperature rang of growth and sporulation of the strain was 12—35℃,the optimal temperature was 15—30℃,the optimum pH was 5—6, the optimal medium was SMA.The optimal temperature of germination of spores was 15—30℃.The range of ecological adaptability was widespread.The number of spores growing in the soybean melt wort medium and wheat bran + zinc sulfate medium was the most.LD50 of VLC997 was(0.47—0.54) × 108/mL,LT50 was 36—38 h.The effect of the spores oil emulsion on controlling the greenhouse whitefly was up to 94.90%,which might replace chemical insecticides.
