Non parametric or distribution free methods include the techniques of choice to be used in situations where assumptions on the type of the distribution are lacking. In this paper several non parametric models (X 2 squared, Tests of. Median, McNemar, Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Cochran, Cox, Wilcoxon, Mann-Whitney, Kruskal-Wallis, Friedman, Spearman, etc.) of common usage are discussed and an example for each model is provided.
