Revision of the African Cetoniinae VI: genera Rhinocoeta Burmeister, Xiphosceloides gen. nov. and Rhixiphloea Burmeister (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae)

The genus Rhinocoeta Burmeister is revised. Lipoclita PA©ringuey is synonymized with Rhinocoeta, and Haematonotus Kraatz is ranked as a subgenus of Rhinocoeta. The affinities of Rhinocoeta, Rhixiphloea and a new genus, Xiphosceloides, are discussed. Two new species, Rhinocoeta (R.) maraisi and Xiphasceloides antoini, are described and the following synonyms are established: R. (Haematonotus) hauseri Kraatz = R. (H.) turbidus Boheman; R. (R.) minor Kraatz = R. (R.) armata Boheman. Haemalonotus ruteri Basilewsky is transferred to Tephraea. All species are illustrated and redescribed.
