Synthesis and antimicrobial profile of 5-imidazolinones, sulphonamides, azomethines, 2-azetidinones and formazans derived from 2-amino-3-cyano-5-(5'-chloro-3'-methyl-1 ' -phenylpyrazol-4 ' -yl vinyl)-7,7 -dimethyl-6,7 -dihydrobenzo(b )thiophenes

Several new substituted benzo(b)thiophene 2, 5-imidazolinones 3a-j, sulphonamides 4a-j, azomethines 5a-j have been synthesised and assayed for in vitro antimicrobial activity. The characterization of the products have been done on the basis of elemental analyses, IR, 1 H NMR and mass spectral data.
