Effect of the apoptosis in pancreatic carcinoma

Objective In order to investigate the effect of apoptisis in pancreatic carcinoma.Methods The number of the apoptotic cells was examined by in situ end labeling in 32 pancreatic carcinoma and 14 chronic pancereatitis.Results The number of apoptosis in chronic pancreatitis was significantly lower than that in pancreatic carcinoma(P0.01).Poorly differentiated pancreatic carcinoma had less apopotic cell than well differenttiated pancreatic carcinoma(P0.05).Conclusions Apoptosis may play an important role in the pathogenesis of patients with pancreatic carcinoma.
