Perioperative nursing of 28 children undergoing finger reconstruction with toe transplantation

2013
This paper summarizes the perioperative nursing of 28 children undergoing finger reconstruction with toe transplantation. The key points in nursing were well-done preoperative preparation, laboratory tests and comprehensive assessment to minimize potential risks, postoperative awaken anesthesia care and body position care, close observation of blood circulation and prevention of vascular crisis of the reconstructed finger, supervision of the effect and adverse effects of drug therapy, and proper functional exercise guidance. All reconstructed fingers survived and the hand function recovered well.
