A method for separating sectional lengths upon extrusion

The invention relates to a method for separating sections during the extrusion of rounded or bent extrusion products. According to said method, the extrusion product is shaped in a die that is mounted upstream of a crosshead of an extrusion installation, and is then curved or bent by the action of external forces. The extrusion product is cut to size during the course of the extrusion without mechanical compression in a contactless manner.
