Efeito da substituição do feno de Tifton 85 (Cynodon dactylon) por feno de alfafa (Medicago sativa) sobre os parâmetros reprodutivos de ovinos

Aiming to evaluate the reproductive parameters resulting from the replacement of Tifton 85 by alfalfa hay in diet for sheep, 40 mixed breed sheep were used, 250 days, divided in four groups (n=10): T1 (60% Tifton), T2 (40% Tifton + 20% Alfalfa), T3 (40% Alfafa + 20% Tifton) and T4 (60% Alfalfa). Evaluation of sperm kinetics, measurement of testicular weight and serum testosterone was performed. No statistical differences were observed between diets of sheep in the right testis weight and left, testosterone and total and progressive motility. Thus, it is concluded that the replacement of Tifton 85 (Cynodon dactylon) by alfalfa hay (Medicago sativa) did not affect the reproductive parameters of sheep.
