A search for magnetic monopoles at LEP

We report results from a search for highly ionizing particles inside the OPAL detector at the LEP e+e− storage ring. The search was sensitive to Dirac monopoles with magnetic charge in the range gDmonopoles with charge gD the new upper limits on production extend to 45.0 GeV/c2 in mass.
