Solvent Dependence of the Intrinsic Fluorescence from Amine-containing Compounds

2015
The intrinsic fluorescence of a typical small amine-containing molecule, tributylamine, was first studied in polar and nonpolar solvents. The big differences in emission intensity and maximum wavelength position can be ascribed to solvation effect and solvent-induced aggregation in the different kinds of solvents.
