An embedded gateway for collecting electric energy based on Cortex-M3 belongs to the technical field of an embedded computer. The gateway comprises an LM3S8962 processor structured by the Cortex-M3, an E1-turn Ethernet module, a GPRS module, a RS232/RS485 protocol switching module, an outer expansion storage module, a RJ45 interface and a power supply module. The GPRS module and the RS232/RS485 protocol switching module are connected with the LM3S8962 processor through a RS232 stander string port, the outer expansion storage module is connected with the LM3S8962 processor through a universal I/O interface, the RJ45 interface is connected with the LM3S8962 processor through a network transformer, and the E1-turn Ethernet module is connected with the RJ45 interface. The outer expansion storage module is a Nand Flash and an EEPROM. The E1-turn Ethernet module, the GPRS module and the RJ45 interface are transmission links which provide data for the embedded gateway, and the gateway realizes the data transmission under the support of software.
