Effects of Straw Mulching Amount on Photosynthetic Characteristics of Autumn Maize in Early-rice Stubble and No-tillage Field

The influences of straw mulching on photosynthetic characteristics of autumn maize were studied in early-rice stubble and no-tillage field. Results showed that straw mulching could increase the photosynthetic rate,the transpiration rate,the stomatal conductance,the water utilization efficiency of the maize leaf blade,the effect got more significant with more straw mulching. As for improving photosynthetic characteristics of autumn maize,the amount among 9 000 ~ 12 000 kg/hm2 and of rice straw mulching was suitable in south Hunan province.
