Assessment of Traffic Noise Pollution in Lu'an Urban Area in the Period of "The 10th Five-Year Plan"

Based on traffic noise statistics from environment control institution spatial distribution of traffic noise pollution and acoustic environment quality in Lu'an urban area in the period of "the 10th Five-Year Plan" were analyzed and assessed.The results show that noise level in 76.39% main stems doesn't meet standards,among them noise level in 7 of 9 main stems checked doesn't meet standards,in which noise pollution in Wanxi Street and Dabieshan Street is most serious.Acoustic environment quality in Chang'an Street and Gaocheng Street is better than the others,where noise level presented descent trend in the last 5 years,but not obvious,acoustic environment quality belongs to intermediate pollution.In the paper some countermeasures and suggestions for controlling traffic noise were put forward.
