The invention relates to a method for preparing a combined electrode material of a graphite/cobalt hydroxide super capacitor, comprising the following steps of: depositing a small amount of layers of vertically growing graphite on a foam nickel substrate by using a chemical vapor deposition technology, wherein the corresponding flow ratio of carbon source gas to argon in the reaction process is 20:80, and the units of the carbon source gas and the argon are in milliliter per minute in a standard state; and then, depositing a hydroxide by taking the vertically growing graphite as the substratethrough an electrochemical deposition method so as to realize the combination of the electrode material. The small amount of layers of graphite prepared by using the chemical vapor deposition technology has fewer impurities and defects and good dispersibility; and the method for combination by using the electrochemical deposition method is simple and feasible. The circulation ratio of the combined electrode material prepared by using the method is over 98.4% after the combined electrode material charges and discharges 500 times and the highest circulation ratio is up to 568F/g (charging/discharging current density of 2A/g), therefore, the combined electrode material has long service life and favorable circulation stability, and the electrode material of the super capacitor, which has highpower density and energy density, can be obtained.
