CT Imaging for Parathyroid Disease

The use of CT for parathyroid imaging is an emerging technique offering precise localization of parathyroid lesions with high sensitivity and accuracy relative to other commonly employed preoperative imaging modalities. This chapter covers the basis of the utility of CT for parathyroid imaging, patient selection, technical factors, and test characteristics of the multi-phase parathyroid CT.
