Method for managing neighbor base station information in mobile communications system and therefor system

PURPOSE: A method for managing neighbor base station information in a mobile communications system and a system thereof are provided to support handover between a macro base station and a femto base station. CONSTITUTION: Macro base stations(102,106) enables a service for a service region, and a femto ASN-GW(Access Service Network-Gateway)(124) controls at least one femto base station. The femto ASN-GW manages the scan information necessary to measure the strength of a signal by scanning the femto base stations. The femto ASN-GW transfers the configured information to the macro base station.
