Pulsed breakdown voltages of supercooled rubbers

1997
We present the results of pulsed breakdown voltage experiments on supercooled rubber as a function of sample cooling time and thickness. We also present the volt-second characteristics of rubber and liquid nitrogen. We recommend a method for electric pulse fracturing of supercooled rubbers.
