Standard particulate sets for visual inspection systems: their preparation, evaluation, and applications.
1986
This article describes some standard particulate sets for visual inspection systems. Methods for preparation of the sets are presented along with three nondestructive techniques for evaluation of the samples. In particular, the sizes of the particles were measured using an in situ microscopic procedure. Finally, applications of standard particulate sets, including the monitoring of the performance of human or machine visual inspection processes, are discussed.
