Comparison of the results of automatic and semiautomatic handling of photographs taken from the 1. 5-meter spectrometer at the Institute of Theoretical and Experimental Physics

An algorithm for the automatic handling of numerical files obtained as a result of scanning the photographs of events in a spark chamber is expounded. A comparison is made between the physical parameters characterizing the results of automatic and semiautomatic handling. Certain recommendations are made on carrying out an experiment with allowance for the requirements of automatic handling.
