Method for showing picture through terminal and terminal

Embodiments of the invention provide a method for showing a picture through a terminal and the terminal. The method comprises the following steps of determining a first picture set including N pictures from a target gallery of the terminal; simultaneously showing the N pictures included in the first picture set on a display interface of the terminal; and when an input picture set switching instruction is received, determining a second picture set including N pictures from the target gallery, and utilizing the N pictures included in the second picture set to replace the N pictures included in the first picture set on the display interface, wherein N is an integer, which is greater than 1. Through the embodiments of the invention, a plurality of pictures can be simultaneously shown and switched, the pictures of the terminal are flexibly and interestingly shown, and the way to view the picture is enriched.
