Thepurpose ofthis study istoexplore novel concepts of light enhancement mechanisms andtrans-illumination imaging techniques. Specifically, theimpactofglucose molecules, amino acidsandotherpolarmolecules on thelight beamprofile enhancement characteristics ofatrans-illumination system, suchas beamintensity, contrast resolution, signal-to-noise ratio andsignal- to-background ratiohavebeenstudied, undera variety of experimental scenarios. Theoutcome ofthis study canbeextended toavariety ofclinical anddiagnostic applications andtechniques.
