The Neuroendocrine Control of the Gonadotropin (GTH2) Secretion in Teleost Fish

2013
In fish the control of the pituitary maturational gonadotropin (GTH2) secretion in mainly under the influence of the gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH). This paper will deal with recent advances in the knowledge of the GnRH system in teleost fish, and on the others neuromediators wich can modulate positively or negatively this system or act directly on the GTH2 secretion, hormone mainly involved in the control of the last phases of the reproductive cycle, from the end of the vitellogenesis to maturation and ovulation on which have been done most of the works to date.
