Examination and Analysis of Blood Uric Acid Level in 2,067 Inhabitants of Dalian

Objective To investigate blood uric acid level of the urban population in Dalian,and to explore the prevalence of hyperuricemia and its impact factors.Methods Blood uric acid,glucose,blood lipids and some basic indicators of 2,067 health check-up citizens were analyzed,and the content of cubital veins serum uric acid was determined by uricase method.Results The average blood uric acid was 376 ± 79 μmol /L in males,and 309 ± 67 μmol /L in females.The prevalence rate of hyperuricemia was 19.2% in males,and 15.1% in females.The prevalence rate of hyperuricemia in males was significantly higher than that of females(P0.01),and there were significant differences among the different age groups(P0.05).Blood uric acid level and hyperuricemia prevalence rate significantly increased among overweight and obesity population(P0.01).FBG,TG,LDL-C and TC serum uric acid levels of hyperuricemia group were significantly higher than those of the normal group(P0.01).The detection rates of hypercholesterolaemia,overweight and obesity,high blood sugar,hypertension and high LDL-C hyperlipidemia in hyperuricemia group were significantly higher than those of normal blood uric acid group.Conclusions Blood uric acid level and hyperuricemia prevalence are higher in Dalian.Obesity is prone to lead hyperuricemia,and hyperuricemia easily associates with hyperlipidemia,hypertension,high blood sugar,and other metabolic diseases.Therefore,close attentions should be paid to blood uric acid level and hyperuricemia.
