The thesis is focused on the sorption of gadolinium-based contrast agents (MultiHance and Dotarem) and Gd(NO3)3 on selected types of sorbents (biomass of green algae Chlorella kessleri, humic acids, activated carbon) and their extraction by ionic liquid from aqueous solutions and synthetic urine. The gadolinium concentration was determined by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry. Sorption experiments were monitored at different time intervals for various solid-phase and liquid-phase ratios and the results were evaluated according to the sorption properties of used materials, contrast medium and the sample matrix.
