Estudo das Propriedades Fotocatalíticas do BiPO4 Dopado com Zinco para Eliminação de Resíduos de Corante Proveniente de Indústrias Têxteis

Zinc doped BiPO4 materials containing 0.0; 0.5 and 1.0 mol% Zn were synthesized by coprecipitation method in room temperature. X-ray diffraction analyzes have shown a single phase system with nanometric and monoclinic structure. Scanning electron microscopy images have shown stick morphology crystals. BiPO4: Zn2+ catalysts have presented satisfactory photocatalytic activity for the decomposition of methylene blue solutions under ultraviolet light irradiation, where the highest photodegradation was observed for pure BiPO4 crystals with smaller crystallite size (32.44 nm) and consequently larger superfiial area than others zinc doped BiPO4 samples.
