Properties of isocyanurate-elastomer copolymers and of carbon fiber-reinforced plastics on their basis as dependent on the heterophase morphology of these copolymers

1993
The parameters of the heterophase morphology of the copolymers of aromatic diisocyanate with low-molecular-mass telechelic elastomers were examined. The elastomers used differed both in the chemical nature of the chain and the reactivity of isocyanate end groups. Elastomers with lower reactivity in reaction with aromatic diisocyanate form a heterophase morphology with disperse particles of larger size. The highest fracture energy was observed in copolymers with a coarse heterophase structure with a multimodal size distribution of the disperse particles
