The Activities of the Euratom Dosimetry Working Group; LES ACTIVITES DU GROUPE DE TRAVAIL "DOSIMETRIE" D'EURATOM

1962
The EURATOM Dosimetry Working Group was set up in October 1960 with the aim of facilitating and fostering the exchange of information between the countries of the European Community on all aspects of the measurement of nuclear radiation in research reactors. The main functions of the group are the development of methods for measuring nuclear radiation in research reactors, the promotion of standardization of these methods within the countries of the European Community, and to facilitate the distribution of work between the various laboratories concerned in such a way as to avoid useless duplication of effort and to ensure rapid completion of the work. Topics discussed include the integration of thermal neutron flux, the methods applicable to intermediate energies, and the threshold detectors used for fust neutron flux. Techniques of gamma dose determination are reviewed. (C.H.)
