The invention relates to a multilayer security document, whereby a printable supporting material (30) is joined to at least one covering film that is at least partially transparent or to a covering film composite (10) that is also at least partially transparent. A photopolymer layer composite (30) comprised of a photopolymer layer (24) is provided between the covering film or the covering film composite (10) and the supporting material (30), whereby a photopolymer covering film (22, 26) is adhered to both sides of the photopolymer layer. Information can be imprinted in at least one area of the photopolymer layer (24). The photopolymer layer composite (20) is joined to the covering film or to the covering film composite (10) and to the supporting material (30). The invention also relates to an economical method for producing this multilayer security document.
