Spectroscopic determination of photostimulated reactions in halomethane solutions of phthalimide and its derivatives

1988
The photochemical reactions of phthalimide, N-benzylphthalimide, 3-and 4-aminophthalimide in the presence of halomethanes have been studied. The end products of the reaction were identified. It was found that phthalimides do not undergo a chemical reaction under the action of light, and their transformations are determined by a reaction with the active products of the photodissociation of tetrachloromethane in the presence of oxygen.
