The invention discloses a Bluetooth headset and a method for utilizing the Bluetooth headset to communicate. The Bluetooth headset disclosed by the embodiment of the invention is provided with a Bluetooth chip, an audio processing chip, a microphone and a loudspeaker. The Bluetooth chip is provided with an MCU (Micro Controller Unit), a PIO (Programming Input/Output) interface, an I2C (Inter-integrated Circuit) interface, a microphone interface and a loudspeaker interface, wherein the audio processing chip is internally provided with a DA (Digital/Analogue) conversion module, an AD (Analogue/Digital) conversion module, an audio gain adjusting unit and an I2C interface; the PIO interface is connected with a control switch; the I2C interface of the Bluetooth chip is connected with the I2C interface on the audio processing chip; a microphone interface of the Bluetooth chip is connected with the microphone; a loudspeaker interface of the Bluetooth chip is connected with the loudspeaker through the audio processing chip; when the control switch is at the first position, the MCU prohibits the audio processing chip from operating through the I2C interface; and when the control switch is at the second position, the MCU starts the audio processing chip to operate through the I2C interface.
