Occult Inferior Vena Cava Thrombosis: Diagnosis by Sonography—Case Reports

Ultrasound has become an effective tool for evaluating the inferior vena cava. The authors report 3 cases that illustrate the difficulty in diagnosing partially adherant clots, which may have a high propensity for pulmonary embolism.
