Image segmentation using the original histogram-based multithreshold presegmentation

This paper describes the new image segmentation technique. The suggested algorithm is based on the original histogram- based multi-threshold presegmentation procedure. The advantages of this procedure are the high computational speed and good separability in histogram modes detection. The following segmentation makes it possible to obtain the reasonable 'good-looking' set of noncrossing homogeneous regions of the image that could be found out and measured later.
