Shareholders short-changed by BIG Boards

Common sense suggests company boards are best composed of directors who hold shares in the business because any poor performance is effectively 'skin in the game' as a cost to the director as well as to shareholders. Director's interests align with shareholders. Directors who mismanage pay a severe price. Evidence also implies this is the case.
