STAND FOR RESEARCH OF SCREW PUMP STATOR ELASTOMER

2019
Screw pump installations are widely used for the extraction and transporta- tion of highly viscous liquids, including high-viscosity oil, oil containing mechanical impurities, gas and other aggressive components. The basic elastomeric materials used to make the stator lining are described. The article deals with issues related to the choice of elastomer material of the stator lining of a screw pump, which is under the intense influence of mechanical and physicochemical factors, such as: wear (including mechanical impurities contained in a liquid), chemical degradation (from aggressive components in liquid and gas), swelling, thermal expansion. The listed complicating factors have a negative effect on the durability of the stator plate and on the reliability of the screw pump installation as a whole. In addition, the swelling of the elastomer of the stator facing changes the flow-pressure characteristics of the screw pair. The article proposes a method for selecting an elastomer material for the stator lining of a screw pump, taking into account the potential influence of complicat- ing factors. A variant of the design of an experimental test bench is pro- posed, which makes it possible to simulate the effect of complicating factors on the material of the stator lining. The stand provides the ability to test the screw pump when pumping a liquid containing gas, mechanical impurities and aggressive components. In addition, the experimental stand provides for the possibility of holding the stator lining of a screw pump under high pressure in an aggressive gaseous environment. The article provides a schematic diagram of an experimental test bench for a screw pump, a wiring diagram of laboratory equipment on a test bench, and a methodology for conducting experimental research.
