Quality evaluation of Gleditsiae Fructus Abnormalis

An HPLC method was developed for the quality evaluation of Gleditsiae Fructus Abnormalis based on prosapogenin 2b.HPLC separation was achieved on a Lichrospher C18 column using acetonitrile-0.5% acetic acid(water)(36 ∶64) as the mobile phase with the flow rate of 1.0 mL/min and the detertion wavelength of 205 nm.The linear range for prosapogenin 2b was from 5.38 to 32.28 μg/mL.The average recoveries measured at three levels were 101.58%,97.39%,96.85%,respectively.This method may provide the basis for quality control and evaluation of Gleditsiae Fructus Abnormalis.
