Analysis on Concentration Variety Characteristics of Ozone and Correlations with its Precursors in Shanghai

Continuous monitoring was conducted during January to December 2010 in urban area of Shanghai,to analyze the seasonal variation of troposphere ozone concentration and correlations with its precursors.Results show that the frequency of ozone concentration higher than 93ppbv(GB3095-1996) during this period is 3.56%.Concentration of ozone is relatively high in spring and summer,while low in autumn and winter.The diurnal variation of ozone concentration show a clear cycle with one peak at noon,while its precursors have two peaks.NO2 is the major component of OX in autumn and winter while ozone accounts for the majority of OX in spring and summer,in the meantime,ozone dominates in daytime and NO2 at night.Variation of ozone concentration complies with those of OX concentration and NO2 photolysis rate.
