The main feature of the guide structures described by non-self-conjugate electrodynamic operators

2004
A solution of the boundary problem for a two-layer round shielded waveguide leads to the conclusion that the main feature of the guide structures described by the non-self-conjugate operators is the mandatory presence of complex waves in their spectra. The pair excitation of these waves results in the appearance of the complex resonance phenomenon.
