Endoscope system and control method thereof

A control method of an endoscope system comprises obtaining panoramic images around an endoscope using a stereo panoramic camera mounted on the endoscope; calculating a distance between the endoscope and an adjacent object by using the obtained panoramic images; and performing an operation to avoid the collision between the endoscope and the adjacent object based on the calculated distance, thus facilitating the safe operation of the endoscope.
