Panic Disorder Related to Organic Etiology: A Case Report

If a panic attack is due to the physiologic effect of a general medical condition, it is not called a panic disorder but it is named as an anxiety disorder induced by general medical condition. Anemia is important in differential diagnosis since it is frequent in our society and many symptoms of it intersect with the symptoms of panic attack. There is rarely liver hemangioma in the etiology of anemia. In this article a case of anemia, developed secondary to liver hemangioma, which caused panic attacks has presented. This anxiety disorder did not respond to antidepressive medication. But after treatment of anemia, improvement was observed.
