Emergência de plântulas de Sinningia aggregata em diferentes substratos

Sinningia aggregata is a native species with medicinal and ornamental potential. The excessive harvest along with its phenological characteristics can lead to its extinction. Therefore, this study objected to evaluate the effect of different substrates on seedling emergence. The experimental design was completely randomized, with 4 treatments (T1: soil, T2: sand, T3: vermiculite, T4: carolina) and 4 replicates. The emergency speed index (IVE) was evaluated and daily emergency counts were performed. There was a significant difference between the substrates for the IVE, being better when the seeds were sown in sand and smaller when they were sown on the vermiculite or carolina substrates. All substrates promoted good emergence of seedlings of Sinningia aggregata. The sand was efficient to obtain seedlings more quickly, while the carolina substrate showed better results for the growth and development of these.
