A peculiar heterotrimetallic Mn II –Co II –Ni II complex: Synthesis, crystal structure and magnetic properties

Abstract The first complex [Mn(H 2 O) 6 ][NiCo(TTHA)(H 2 O) 2 ] · 4H 2 O 1 (TTHA 6−  = triethylenetetraminehexaacetate) containing Mn II –Co II –Ni II three different 3d metal ions is synthesized and magnetic measurement suggests that ferromagnetic interactions occur between Ni 2+ ions and rarely found low-spin Co 2+ ions.
