TRIKOMPONENČIŲ DYZELINIŲ DEGALŲ USILIEPSNOJIMO PROCESO TYRIMAS RESEARCH OF THE THREE-COMPONENT DIESEL FUEL IGNITION PROCESS
2006
The process dynamics of fuel ignition in a combustion chamber of Diesel engine is determined in most cases by ignition delay time τind of fuel and by total time, estimated from the beginning of fuel injection into a cylinder to complete its burning out at the end of cycle τtotal. The lesser proportion of fuel ignition delay with τtotal causes the smoother combustion process and better burning of air-gas mixture. When the ignition delay is short enough, even increase of pressure in a cylinder and silent Diesel engine operation is ensured. Scientists use different methods for solving problems of the combustion process optimising, which as a rule are based on modification of the engine’s combustion chamber, on particular profiling of its walls, etc. The cheapest research method of hydrocarbon sorts of fuel and fuel blends, possessing proper physical and chemical characteristics, is mathematical modelling of the combustion process. Multicomponent diesel fuel, combustion process, single droplet model, emission, dehydrated ethanol additive.
